Definition of the Gospel of Christ

1Co 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
1Co 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

The essence of the Gospel for mankind to receive, know and believe is that our sins are forgiven.
Eph 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

The Whole Gospel truth for mankind to be saved centers in The Cross with the central Word to us is that our SINS are Forgiven.

Because our sins have been forgiven at the Cross, the whole workings of Salvation come to us and they are not to be separate and partly lived but we are to receive ALL that God has provided for us thru the Gospel. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is not be sectioned and partly believed but to be believed as a Whole for salvation.

What does it mean that our sins have been forgiven? These 10 points or areas of truth of the Gospel are to be believed as a Whole for a complete salvation in Christ. You are not saved if you only believe some of God's Word but you are only saved when you believe and live by ALL of God's Word. You will live what you believe. These 10 manifestations of eternal life are the results of our sins being forgiven. This is what it means for our sins to be forgiven.

1. We have redemption: Eph 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Col 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

2.  We receive the Righteousness of Christ as a free Gift.

Rom 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
Rom 5:17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.

3. Our old sin nature has been put to death and the power of sin in our lives has been destroyed. We have received a new nature in Christ being born again of the Holy Spirit. We no longer need to sin.

Rom 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
Rom 6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

John 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

2Co 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

1Pe 4:1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
1Pe 4:2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
2Pe 1:9 But he that lacks these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

4. We have been reconciled to God and have right relationship with Him.

2Co 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
2Co 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Col 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

Eph 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
Eph 2:16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

Rom 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

5. The devil and his works have been destroyed at the Cross and he has NO power over us. We have a new Lord Who is Jesus Christ.

Col 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
Col 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it (The Cross).

6. We are free from the Law and have a relationship with the Holy Spirit Who guides us.

Col 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

Rom 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

7. We have eternal Life thru the Cross and the Gospel.

John 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Rom 5:21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

8. We are Free from any curses and have been Blessed by God in ALL things.

Gal 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangs on a tree:
Gal 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Eph 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

9. We have good health and healing for our bodies by the Cross.

Mat 9:6 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then says he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto your house.

1Pe 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Rom 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you.

10. We have been empowered by the Holy Spirit for service and ministry.

Act 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Mar 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mar 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
Mar 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they  shall recover.

Act 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Why is it necessary that our sins be forgiven?
Because we were born sinners and out of right relationship with God.

Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

1John 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us

True Repentance is required to be saved with faith in Christ and the work of the Cross. Believe the Gospel.

John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Act 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

Luke 9:23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

We all serve someone either self which is the same as serving the devil  or we can repent and serve God Who gives us eternal life. Chose God and receive true salvation by the Gospel of Christ.

We all deserve to die because we have sinned against God and lived evil but because God Loves us as well as He is Just and must punish sin, He poured out His wrath upon His Son Jesus Christ at the Cross to save us and to satisfy Himself by the perfect sacrifice of Christ on the Cross.
Rom 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Rom 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Believe in the Gospel and you will be saved. You are saved only by believing in the Gospel truth. Pray to God for mercy with all the faith you have knowing that God gives you the faith to believe when you hear the Gospel.

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Act 2:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.  Gospel Video
