Is there a real HELL?

The lost world does not want to believe in hell; only in heaven because it gives them some kind of comfort so they can live in their wicked sins and evil doings. They believe that God is a loving God and would never send anyone to Hell. They are mistaking big time in their conception of God. God does send people to Hell because they deny the great provision that He made for them in giving up His only Son to die on the cross to save mankind. Lost people insult God by saying that the death of Christ on the cross is insignificant to eternal life.
God’s nature is one of love and wrath. He is a just God and sin will be paid for. The greatest sin that a person can have is to deny the saving work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Hell is a real place and nothing can change that. The Bible describes hell as a place of torment with great flames of fire burning your soul continually without consuming your soul in the flames. This goes on forever! Repent and believe the good news that Christ died for your sins and be saved from the torments of hell.
Some people say that they do not believe in Hell and that is sufficient for them. Like not believing that Hell exists will make it go away. God created Hell for the devil and his angels and for all who reject Christ will join satan also in the burning flames. If you say that you do not believe in Hell and that makes it non-existent then show me your power and faith. You can start with a simple demonstration. Go downtown a pick out a large building and just believe that it does not exist and make it just disappear before everyone’s eyes. Hell is a very large place almost as big as the earth, so if you can make a building vanish before everyone watching then maybe there could be a chance you could make Hell vanish; NOT!
Be realistic God created you and everything in the universe including Hell and no one can go against God. Do you think that you are bigger then God? Some say that they will take their chances. God is absolute in His thinking and actions and no one will go to Heaven unless they receive Christ as their Savior from Hell. Why does the world want to live by luck instead of the absolute truth of what God says in the Bible?
Wake up and realize what luck really is. There are two sides to luck, being lucky and unlucky. You cannot have luck without being unlucky also. All who have experienced luck have experienced unluck also. God does not operate that way. He functions on the level of absolutely will happen. If you do things God’s way you will be given a guarantee towards eternal life in Heaven. Everyone reaps what they sow. What the Bible is saying is that you determine your own destination. God has made the way for eternal life and all everyone has to do is to receive God’s way of salvation.
You can make your own destination plans by choosing heaven or hell. At the time of your conception you were a sinner simply by coming into a sinful world. You have no choice about being a sinner destined to Hell but you have a choice in receiving Christ or rejecting Him. The choice is yours. You can make a decision right NOW! Pray like this: Lord Jesus Christ forgive me of all of my sins and receive me into your family. I believe that you died on the cross for me and were buried and were resurrected from the dead to give me eternal life in Heaven. Thank-you Lord Jesus for coming into my heart and saving me from Hell.

Are Christians to be Perfect?

True believers in Christ Jesus are absolutely positively perfect! The blood of Jesus Christ makes you perfect when the Spirit of the Living God comes into your life. Do you think that God made His believers bipolar or schizoid beings when they are born-again? Most Christians believe then should live like they have two personalities, like worshipping God in church then going home and cursing your neighbor for walking on your grass.
The Bible says that whoever is born-again cannot sin. Yes I’m talking about sinless perfection. You need to know who you are in Christ Jesus. Jesus told the women who was caught in adultery to sin no more. He did not say do not commit adultery no more but He said to sin no more. God would not tell you to do something that you were not capable of doing. God gave you the Holy Spirit Who is sinless to make you sinless.
Bible Truth says that as a man thinks so he is. If you think that you are a saint and a sinner at the same time then you will no doubt sin just as much as you do good. If you think like God thinks and know that you are perfect then you will live a perfect sinless life starting at the realization of this truth. In the gospels Jesus said that we as believers should BE perfect as the Father in heaven is perfect.
I’m tired of stupid Christians saying that Jesus was not talking about sinless perfection here.
Study to show yourself approved. The keyword in this verse is the word “as” and this is how we can understand exactly what Jesus had in mind. How is the Father in Heaven? He is perfect in everyway in character, works and completely without sin. This is how we are to be. Jesus said that we are to be perfect now not just when He comes back. Quit making excuses for your sinful behavior. Most of the problem is that Christians really want to sin and live the way they want. Repent of this sinful attitude!
Part of the problem is false teaching in the church. The church says that you have two natures after you are born-again and this is a lie from the pit of Hell. You receive the very nature of Christ when you are born-again and you old nature is crucified at the cross, which happened even before you were saved. Most Christians and Pastors do not understand the truth about the old and new nature. Your old nature is DEAD at the cross and can never be alive. Something that is dead can have no power over you so live in the new nature that you have received in Christ Jesus!
The Bible says that they who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passion and desires. Your old nature died when you accepted Christ as your Savior. The death of your old nature as mentioned in scriptures is always talked about in the past tense.
Only perfect Christians will go to heaven because that is God’s standard and nothing else will do. The Bible Truth says that the blood of Christ makes us perfect so use your faith that God gave you and renew your mind believing that you are perfect and live like Christ. The devil wants Christians to believe that they are bipolar so he can profane the holy and weaken the body of Christ making them ineffective in winning souls and bringing the Kingdom of God here on earth.
God is tired of looking at your miserable sinful self masquerading as a Christian making up reasons for your rebellious life. Get with the program and renew your thinking and live as the perfect being that you are or quit calling yourself a Christian! There are to many so-called Christians that are giving the real Christians a bad name. Be PERFECT just exactly like God is PERFECT! http://www.lulu.com/content/341213 Bill Naugle

Understanding the Old Nature

OLD NATURE AND DENY (OR DIE) TO SELF.
To live in the historical fact that our nature was crucified with Christ is not necessarily dieing to self. Let us look at some scriptures in order to clarify this. Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live ; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Notice 2 important things: The first is that Paul is crucified with Christ. If you are dead to something, there is no way to live out of it (old nature). The 2nd thing is that Paul has a life now to live. Now is present and it is because the old life is dead. You can not live the new life if the old life is still alive. There is no where in the bible where it says that the old nature is resurrected. He is dead at the Cross where Jesus died. This is only true if you are living by Faith, according to this verse in Galatians.
Rom. 6: 6knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. 7 For he who has died has been freed from sin. 8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, 9 knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. 10 For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. 11 Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. The crucifixion of our old nature happened at the Cross. If we live as though we are dead to the old nature we will not sin, if we think he is alive in us we will sin. According to this passage this is a once for all reckoning, like Christ on the Cross. Romans chapter 7 tells Paul’s life before he knew this, but in verse 24 & 25 he says that God delivered him. The works of the flesh is the old nature we used to have.
Walking in the Spirit16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.
If you think you are a Christian and still living out of the works of the flesh mentioned above, then you need to get saved. This passage says if we are still doing these things we are not in the Kingdom Of God. Verse 24 says that if we belong to Christ then we have already crucified the old nature, past tense. The proof that you are a Christian and living in the Spirit is that you do not live out of your old nature. What is dieing to self? It is dieing to wants and desires of our hearts that are not necessarily bad, and in fact we have a right to.
Luke 9: Take Up the Cross and Follow Him 23 Then He said to them all, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. 24 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. 25 For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost? 26 For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father's, and of the holy angels.
According to this passage to deny one’s self is to die to what we want to do and do what God wants us to do. It is not wrong to want to work at a career or want a house, car or nice things with vacations and time to relax. Are we willing to lay these down for the sake of the Kingdom Of God. This taking up one’s Cross is a daily thing according to this passage. Are we willing to follow Christ and deny the things we want in order to find a new life. This is the only way. Paul died daily to the things he wanted and preached the gospel.
See 1 COR. 15: 31 I affirm, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily. How do I know that the old nature and dieing to self is not the same thing? The answer is simple. Did Jesus Christ have an old nature? I think you know the answer. Jesus’ Father was God, Who was perfect in nature. Look at Phil. 2:3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. 4 Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. The Humbled and Exalted Christ 5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Jesus Christ who is perfect in nature did not think of Himself. He died to self and became obedient to The Father and went to the Cross like we are suppose to do. Jesus Christ was not concerned about having the same Glory as The Father and being equal to God. He humbled Himself and denied Himself of His rights to be The Son Of God and obeyed The Father. Look at the story of the rich young ruler.
Luke 18: Jesus Counsels the Rich Young Ruler
18 Now a certain ruler asked Him, saying, "Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?" 19 So Jesus said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. 20 You know the commandments: "Do not commit adultery,' "Do not murder,' "Do not steal,' "Do not bear false witness,' "Honor your father and your mother."' 21 And he said, "All these things I have kept from my youth." 22 So when Jesus heard these things, He said to him, "You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me."
The rich young ruler was not really doing anything wrong by being rich and enjoying the things God has given him. He was godly and obeyed the commandments. Jesus told him what He told every one who wanted eternal life, deny yourself and follow me. To be a christian and a follower of Jesus is the same thing. We must deny ourselves if we are to have eternal life.
Luke 26: 26"If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. 27 And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. 33 So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple. A real Christian is only concerned with one thing: devotion to God. May God lead us by His Holy Spirit as we repent of living for our selves and enter into Faith and Love towards our Savior and Father in Heaven. Let The death of Jesus on the Cross be real to us in giving us total salvation as His precious Blood sanctifies us completely. Bill Naugle www.lulu.com/billn

Is the Bible Obsolete?

What does the Bible mean to most Christians? Most Christians have a Bible and even many non-Christians have a Bible in their home. How often does a Christian read or study the Bible? I wonder if Christians truly believe that God wrote the Bible. Do Christians take the Bible serious living by all that it says? If the Bible was truly written by God then you would think that All Christians would want to live by a standard that came from a perfect being. I would expect non-Christians to live by their own code of life but you would think that Christians would live by the words of their God that save them from hell to give them eternal life in heaven.
Is the Bible a book that Christians hold dear to themselves hanging on every word or a book that provides suggestions for particular problems one may be having? Is the Bible a book that holds ALL of the answers to life? Do Christians have the right to call themselves Christians and live contrary to the Bible? Some may consider the book as a guide to life picking and choosing what they want to live by. Wouldn’t that make them a god to themselves?
What if the Bible is the very Word of God and God requires All who are in His family to live by every principle and even by every word written. Do we really love God or are we do we just want to be other then the world? Maybe we just don’t like the way the world does things or how the world looks and we just want to be in another category? Maybe many people who call themselves Christians are just masquerading as a Christian because they do not want to be completely like the world. The world is becoming way too evil and people who want to be good for the most part are looking for a new life that they can call good because they do not commit the major crimes of life.
Many so-called Christians will not make a total commitment to Christ and His Word because the way is very extreme from the life in the world system. Most so-called Christians would not endorse murder, rape or stealing. How committed are all Christians? Daniel and David had a devotion to eat food that God created for them to eat and they would not eat the food of the world. Today you cannot tell a Christian apart from the world by the food they eat. Christians eat junk food in large quantities at home and in public and have no devotion to Christ and His Word when it comes to the care of their body. Daniel had great physical appearance because he ate food endorse by God. Are we as Christians to take the wisdom of the Bible when it comes to the right foods as a suggestion or the commands of God Himself? Does being overweight display a good testimony for Christ or does it show gluttony and indulgence? Is self-control a fruit of the Holy Spirit?
On the outward level it is hard to tell a true Christian from a person who is lost and in the world. Look at the way women dress today. They expose themselves in public by showing their stomachs and chests for all to see. Many of these people call themselves Christians. Does the Bible have anything to say about the way Christian women are to dress? Is God interested in the culture of the day considering what is in style? Are not these styles a part of the world system and the Christian should take there standard from the Bible? The Bible uses the word modest apparel describing women’s clothes, which means something that covers the entire body. If the things written in the Bible are not that important to Christians maybe they should just start their own book and live by that. Maybe they should just quit calling themselves Christians and say that they are a new people somewhere between a Christian and the worldly person.
What about the way so-called Christians talk. I hear many people who call themselves Christians constantly complain, gossip, tell lies to make themselves look good, use disrespectable talk and be rude in everyday living. Many so-called Christians even swear taking the Lord’s name in vain and slander each other in regular conversation. Does anyone consider what the Bible says on how our speech should be? Do Christians honestly love each other and consider the other person as more important then themselves. How tight does a Christian hold on to their own money or would they really sacrifice some of their finances to help out another Christian who is struggling? How many so-called Christians do we have in church?
If the Bible is not actually important to you then maybe it would be a good idea to just get rid of it and be who you really are. At least if your honest before God maybe you’ll have a chance to be saved instead of just pretending that you are a Christian. I think God wants a real family who truly loves Him and obeys what He says. If you really have an appreciation for God and all He has done for you then you would automatically return your love towards God and not think of yourself but think about what God wants. The Bible is the standard for a true Christian and the ones who are really saved by the blood of Christ have an uncompressing devotion to live by every word written in this holy book and the rest of mankind are lost or are just masquerading as Christians. Maybe we need a campaign to get the so-called Christians saved starting with many of the Pastors in our churches. Put the Bible on the shelf of your heart!

Having Good Health

Living by All The Word Of God is not living under the bondage of the law. There are many Old Testament passages that Christians do not want to live by because they thing that doing so puts them under the law. Everything written in the Bible was written for our learning. There is a message in all of the scriptures that help us to become more like Christ for us to be complete. We first need to understand what it means to be under the law. Galatians 2:16 “knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.” To be under the law would mean working for your salvation or trying to obtain your own righteousness by good deeds. God does not want you to have a heart that trusts in yourself.
If you trust Jesus Christ for salvation and take His righteousness and live according to all of God’s Word because you love Him, then you have a heart that is pleasing to God and you are in no way under the law. Matthew 5:17 Christ Fulfills the Law"Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. 18 For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.” Christ did not come to do away with the law but to deliver us from the bondage of having to keep it. This is done by writing the law on our hearts by the Holy Spirit. Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. This verse does not say that Christ is the end of the law. This verse says that Christ is the end of the law for Righteousness. As far as obtaining righteousness with God the law is over and void. Christ is not the end of the law for: meditation, learning, instruction, wisdom and knowledge.
Christians need to eat the food that God has created for us and not any other food. 1 Timothy 4:3 “forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. 4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; 5 for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.” Many people do not understand this passage, so put your ears on and receive understanding.
Christians are not to abstain from the foods that God created. There are foods that God created for you to eat (most of them are mentioned in the Old Testament) and there are foods that God did not create for you to eat, foods that are in the world and the kingdom of Darkness. When this passage talks about nothing is to be refused, God is talking about the things in the Kingdom Of God only. If you interpret that this passage says you have permission to eat everything here on earth, that would include poison, blood, man, cocaine and every other evil act that God does not permit to be put in your body. You cannot pray for God’s blessing to be upon whatever you eat to be sanctified.
Only the foods that are taught in the Bible as foods that God has created to eat are sanctified. God does not bless evil. If you are eating the foods that are taught in God’s Word as food created by God then they are automatically sanctified. We reap what we sow. If we put trash into our bodies, then we will have an unhealthy body. If we put food into our body that God created then we will have good health and be in the blessing of God. It is the will of God that we be in good health and bring Glory to God. Bill Naugle

Commentary on First Timothy

This book of Timothy is about God’s established Authority here on earth. God has a perfect design for church order and government that will produce the most powerful results of the gospel being preached by Men since the days of Jesus walking here on earth. Signs and wonders with miracles following the preaching of the Word of the Living God should be common place in the church. When God’s government is displayed in the church we will see true authority over darkness, disease and storms.
The church and many believers stand on scriptures for their healing and live by them everyday. They also stand on scriptures that talk about prosperity and financial wealth and see results in their lives. Praise God for this! The church needs to stand on the scriptures that show us how to have a Godly government with the kind of church order that will produce power and authority on the level of Jesus. God is not interested in a democracy He wants a Kingdom here on earth. We need to be thinking in terms of a Kingly rule here on earth not a democracy.
Bible Truth states that God wants Men to walk as kings under Jesus displaying His power and authority through them. The right kind of Government will produce this. Jesus sent His disciples (Men) out in twos. Jesus gave authority to men. We do not have the right to pick and choose what scriptures we are going to believe and live by. God wants us to live by All of the Word of God. If you cannot embrace the scriptures on church order then throw the whole bible out and follow the devil. God wrote the whole bible and expects His people to live by all of His Word.
God does not give you permission to live anyway you want. Jesus died for you and poured out His blood and you are bought with that blood and because of your gratitude towards God with appreciation of your salvation out of a loving heart for Jesus you gladly live by all of His Words. This is a true Christian. Bill Naugle

Worship according to Truth

“The hour is come and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for the Father is looking for such to worship Him. God is Spirit; and they that worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth.” John 4:23-24 1. The time is now - this generation or church (grace) age. 2. True worshipers vs. false worshipers (any worship not according to God’s Word). 3. The Person we worship (Father). We first praise Jesus because He is the Way. John 14:6 our goal is to get to the Father. This is the will of Jesus. 4. Our attitude and approach needs to be in spirit and truth. Both are essential in getting to the Father. 5. The Father is seeking (searching and looking) people who will worship Him the prescribed way (biblical), in spirit and in truth. Both are necessary. A. Worship God with our human spirits, not our souls but be led by the Holy Spirit - Rom. 8.: 14-17 B. Worship God in truth (according to scriptures). John 17:17 and 2 Tim. 2:15 - The Word of God is truth. 6.God is Spirit - no mention here as to God having a body or a soul. Worship is a spiritual thing. Our spirit connecting with His Spirit. Worship led by the Holy Spirit will never go against His written Word. 7. We MUST (if we are going to worship God) worship in spirit and in truth.
There is no other option for true worship. God’s way is the only way. “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise; be thankful unto Him and bless His Name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations”. Ps. 100:4-5. 1. ENTER - His gates. This is a door or starting point for which we come into full worship. 2. THANKSGIVING is the key to open up the gate. Tell God in word or song for the things we are grateful for and for all His goodness to us. See Ps. 100:4-5 Thanking God is very powerful in getting into His presence. 3. PRAISE (towards God) will take us into the inner court. This has to do with His Greatness, Faithfulness etc. In other words His character. Praise will take us to the inner court but not all the way.
Worship is the next step. “Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto Him with psalms. For the Lord is a Great God, and a Great King above all gods. Oh come, Let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker”. Ps. 95:2-3,6. 1. 1. Thanksgiving (1) the gate we come into the presence of God. Vs. 2. 2. Praise (2), which is psalms to God, takes us into the inner court. Speaking and singing (Heb. 13:15) with joy in our hearts is to be our attitude. 3. Reason for praise, because He is Great and a King (vs. 3) above all. We also praise God because He is our creator (vs. 4). 4. Knowledge of ourselves puts us into the right frame of mind to worship -that is we are created. The creature worships the Creator. This is mentioned in Ps. 100:3. Also in Ps. 95:6 The Lord is our MAKER. 5. Worship (3) takes us all the way into the Holy of Holies, to the Father. Worship has to do with our posture before God more than our words. To worship God is to bow and kneel before Him. 6. True worship will open up for us the voice of God (Ps. 95:7).
Notice also that we are called sheep in this passage. Compare this to John 10:27. In both of these chapters in the book of Psalms we will find that worship has to do with God only (primarily) and not ourselves. Our focus needs to on Jesus and the Father when worshiping. Ps. 100:3 says know the Lord that is we direct our attention to God and off of ourselves. Notice the phrase in this verse - not we ourselves. This tells us to take the focus off of ourselves. In Ps. 95:1 it says we sing unto the Lord - that is to lift (exalt) Him up. Some prayer and songs in our churches today are not appropriate for worship. They may be good songs but belong in another function of the church. Worship is not the time to ask God for something you want, this belongs in a prayer meeting. There is a time for worship and a time for prayer, just like a time for teaching.
Songs taken from the book of Psalms and the book of Revelation are the most powerful worship songs we can get. “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for Thou hast created all things.” Rev. 4:11. This verse speaks of the Greatness of God and God being our creator. You will notice the same progression towards worship here in this passage in revelation as in the book of Psalms. Thanksgiving, Praise and Worship. Rev. 4:9 - speaks of giving thanks and in vs. 11 we find Praise - giving glory, honor and power. In vs. 10 we have the Elders falling down on their faces, an act of worship. In Rev. 7:11-12- you can see that falling on your face (or to prostrate oneself) is an act of worship. There are more examples of worship in the book of Revelation; you may want to do your own study. 2. ““When He, the Spirit of truth, is come. He will guide you into all truth; for He shall not speak of Himself. He (Holy Spirit) shall glorify me (Jesus)”. John 16:13-14 this is extremely important when worshiping God. Our worship needs to be directed toward the Father and the Son only. The Holy Spirit leads us in worship, but never speaks of Himself. The Holy Spirit glorifies Jesus and the Father but not Himself. The Holy Spirit is the One behind the scenes in operation with the other members of the trinity.
Songs that address the Holy Spirit and our speaking words of worship to HIM, ARE NOT appropriate for church worship. The Holy Spirit will not glorify or exalt Himself; He will only lift up Jesus and the Father. Compare also John 15:26. In 1 Tim. 3:6 - we have the qualifications for elders. It says, not a novice (new convert) or young man without experience or training. In verse 10 of the same chapter it says let him first be proven; back in verse 2 it says he must be able to teach. Worship leaders need these qualifications as well as Elders. Many worship leaders are called Ministers of Worship or Music. Worship Leaders need strong theological and biblical training as well as music in order to minister effectively. Without sound biblical training and teaching, you may have music only and not true worship. When we make it all the way to the Father in true spiritual worship the Holy Spirit will at that point speak to us as to what the Father says by pouring out gifts of teaching, prophesy etc. in order to build up the body of Christ.
Suggested format for worship. 1-2 songs of thanksgiving or speaking to God your personal thanks or a mixture. Then 3-4 songs of Praise, mixed with speaking to God your praise. Followed by 10 to 15 minutes of Worship by kneeling and prostrating yourself before God. During this time you should be silent before God. See 1 Kings 19:12 and Ps. 46:10. You will then hear the voice of God. Allow time for prophecy, teaching and other gifts of the Spirit after you hear the voice of God. Give thanks to God for His marvelous ways.
Sample songs for thanksgiving: 1. Give Thanks 2. Make a joyful noise. Sample songs for praise: 1. Great is the Lord 2. Shout to the Lord 3. He is Exalted 4.Great is your Faithfulness 5. Blessed be the Lord 6. Hosanna 7.Majesty Sample songs that take us into worship: 1. Holy Holy Holy 2.Blessing Honor Glory and Power 3. You are Holy 4. Come let us worship and bow down 5. We bow down. www.lulu.com/billn Bill Naugle

Jesus Christ was Crucified for you!

THE PREACHING OF JESUS CRUCIFIED!
1 CORINTHIANS 1:17 Paul was sent to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ which is the message of the Cross (1 COR. 15:1-4) not with human wisdom or preaching other than the Cross of Christ or else the power and truth of the Cross will have no effect in our lives. In order to live in the blessings of God we need to Preach Jesus and Him Crucified! This should be the main message of the church and apart of every sermon that is preached. Verse 18 says the preaching of the Cross is the Power of God to us. This is why the church today is so powerless and full of many false teachings with carnal behavior. Verse 24 says that the preaching of the cross is the Wisdom of God. No other preaching will bring salvation.
The preaching of the cross brings total salvation to every area of your life (JOHN 19:30) and without it we live defeated lives. Verse 23 says: the message is Jesus and Him crucified. This message will destroy the wisdom of the world; see verse 27 & 28. Paul only wanted to know one thing: Jesus Christ and Him crucified (1Cor. 2:2). Some Pastors or Teachers teach Paul, David, Moses or Abraham, but preach very little of Jesus and Him Crucified. It is not enough to preach just about Jesus. The message is very important, and according to the scriptures, the main message we should be preaching is The Crucifixion. Also the Person we should be preaching about the most is Jesus Christ. Only through the preaching of Jesus and Him crucified will we see the power of the Spirit (1Cor. 2: 4). The preaching of the cross is a mystery to all of what it can do for those who Preach it (1Cor. 2:7). If the devil knew how much the Cross destroyed him and all his power and the victory believers would have over the devil, he would have never crucified the Lord Jesus (1Cor. 2:8).
The preaching of The Cross brings the Spirit into our lives for revelation of the many truths and things God has for us (1Cor. 2:10). Without the preaching of Jesus and Him Crucified, we are ignorant of the things of God. The Preaching of The Cross is spiritual and brings the move of The Holy Spirit into our lives (1Cor. 2:13). All other preaching and teaching will weaken the church. Below will be our text and then I’ll give you 52 things the Preaching of the Cross will do for us who believe.
JESUS CRUCIFIED IS COMPLETE SALVATION: MATTHEW 27:26 - 54: 26Then he released Barabbas to them; and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered Him to be crucified The Soldiers Mock Jesus (5) 27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the Praetorium and gathered the whole garrison around Him. 28And they stripped Him and put a scarlet robe on Him. 29 When they had twisted a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand. And they bowed the knee before Him and mocked Him, saying, "Hail, King of the Jews!" 30Then they spat on Him, and took the reed and struck Him on the head. 31And when they had mocked Him, they took the robe off Him, put His own clothes on Him, and led Him away to be crucified The King on a Cross(6) 32 Now as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name. Him they compelled to bear His cross. 33And when they had come to a place called Golgotha, that is to say, Place of a Skull, 34they gave Him sour [55] wine mingled with gall to drink. But when He had tasted it, He would not drink35Then they crucified Him, and divided His garments, casting lots,[6] that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet" They divided My garments among them, And for My clothing they cast lots."[36 Sitting down, they kept watch over Him there. 37And they put up over His head the accusation written against Him:
THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS. 38 Then two robbers were crucified with Him, one on the right and another on the left. 39 And those who passed by blasphemed Him, wagging their heads 40and saying, "You who destroy the temple and build it in three days, save Yourself! If You are the Son of God, come down from the cross." 41 Likewise the chief priests also, mocking with the scribes and elders, (8) said, 42"He saved others; Himself He cannot save. If He is the King of Israel, [9] let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe Him.[10] 43 He trusted in God; let Him deliver Him now if He will have Him; for He said, "I am the Son of God."' 44Even the robbers who were crucified with Him reviled Him with the same thing. ( LUKE 23:34: Then Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do). Jesus Dies on the Cross (7) 45 Now from the sixth hour until the ninth hour there was darkness over all the land. 46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?" that is, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?"[11] 47 Some of those who stood there, when they heard that, said, "This Man is calling for Elijah!" 48 Immediately one of them ran and took a sponge, filled it with sour wine and put it on a reed, and offered it to Him to drink. 49 The rest said, "Let Him alone; let us see if Elijah will come to save Him." 50 And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. (JOHN 19:30: So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit). 51 Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, 52 and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; 53 and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many. 54 So when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they feared greatly, saying, "Truly this was the Son of God!"

Our responsibility is to study and search the scriptures and allow God to reveal to us the gems He has for those who really want to know and receive His secrets. The continual Preaching and Teaching of Jesus and Him crucified will unlock the door of God’s wealth of wisdom to us. May God open our eyes. Bill Naugle www.lulu.com/billn

Eternal Life in Heaven

Salvation!
Acts 2:21 “ And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord
Shall be saved.”
If you are not sure about how real God is or is Jesus Christ alive today. Then just say out loud right now: Jesus Christ if you are real then reveal yourself to me.
Show yourself to me Jesus Christ. Save me right now Jesus Christ. God is faithful and if you have called upon Him then He will be in your life right now. He will give you eternal life and take you to heaven and you will have a real relationship with Jesus today. You can talk to Him and He will talk to you. You will have a new life Now!
To be saved is to have eternal life and to have a place in Heaven.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him (Jesus Christ) should not perish but have everlasting life.”
Col. 1:5 “because of the hope, which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel,”
The gospel is the good news of God that He sent Jesus to the earth to give all men eternal life.
1 COR. 15:1-4 “Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you--unless you believed in vain.
3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,”
Rom. 10:9-13 “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame."
12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.
13 For "whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."

There are many benefits of salvation when you call upon the Lord Jesus Christ.

1. The salvation of your soul being in heaven with God forever. ISA. 61:10 “ I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, My soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness,
2. Healing and good health of your body. 1 Pet. 2:24 “ who (Jesus Christ) Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness--by whose stripes you were healed.
3. Financial Increase. No more poverty. 2 COR. 8:9 “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.”
4. Joy and Peace with God continually. Col. 1:20 “For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, 20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.” Rom. 15:13 “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
5. A relationship with God. Talking to and hearing from God. JN. 10:27-28 “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.”
6. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit with a gift of a new heavenly language. Begin to speak for God is in you. Acts 2:2-4 “And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

2 COR. 6:1-2 “We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain. 2 For He says: In an acceptable time I have heard you, and in the day of salvation I have helped you. Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”
Acts chapter 10 has a good illustration of a man name Cornelius who received the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues at the time of Salvation when he believed on Jesus Christ. (Acts 10:44-46). Cornelius was already a blessed man financially because he gave much alms to the Jewish people (Acts 10:2). There is no mention of him having any sickness. He was also blessed with the beginnings of a relationship with God because his prayers were received by God (Acts 10:4).
Cornelius had much joy and peace after the Holy Spirit came on him because he magnified God (Acts 10:46). Bill Naugle

Using the Lord’s Name in Vain

Are you taking the Lord’s Name in vain? Do Christians take the Lord’s Name in vain unknowingly or with full knowledge of what they are doing? After what you learn in the rest of this teaching, you will have no excuse. You will be informed of the truth and to watch your mouth as to what comes out. What does it mean to take the Lord’s Name in vain? It simply means to speak the Lord’s name without meaning or emptiness. When you use the Name of God in any way you are to have purpose in our thoughts and action. When you talk to others about God you must really be communicating who God is to that person. We don’t use the Name Of God just because it’s the Christian thing to do.
When we address God by speaking His Name we do so with respect as to a Holy God and with reverence to Someone Who is Great and mighty and is over us in everyway. Read Exodus 20:7 it says: You shall not take the Name Of The Lord Your God in vain. The Lord will not hold him guiltless that takes His Name in vain. This is pretty strong, The Lord has a name that is above every Name and there is Great Power in His Name and when we use it, we need to bow before God’s Mighty Name! It also says in this verse that God will hold this against you if you take His Name in vain. I would not want the wrath of God coming at me. God is a God of Love, Grace and Mercy, but there is more to His character than this. There is also the side of Him, which displays justice, judgment, correction, discipline and His wrath.
We need to be careful as to how we speak when it comes to Almighty God. Matthew 6:9 says: When we pray we hallow The name of our Father in Heaven. This is a posture of worship showing Great respect and reverence to His Holy Name. Look at John 18:6 when Jesus said that He was I Am the people fell backward. There is power in The name Of God. Let us look at an area of our speech that most Christians have little knowledge of. On the day of Pentecost when The church was baptized in The Holy Spirit, they all spoke in tongues, that is they spoke to God (addressing Him) in many different languages giving Glory to His Name.
No matter what language you speak God’s Holy Name, you are to show reverence. Did you know that slang is a language? Look it up in a good dictionary. Slang is defined as a peculiar language also an informal nonstandard vocabulary with changed words. Slang may change the word, the way it sounds and the way it is spelled, but that does not change the meaning. Slang represents the real word. Did you know that many Christians use slang as a language, unfortunately not for good. I have heard even Pastors use slang, speaking The Lord’s Name in vain. Let me give you a couple of slang words for God. They are: gosh, golly, and gee. How often have you heard Christians speak them without giving any thought to God and not showing reverence? These slang words represents the real word for: God and Jesus.
Many Christians use God’s Name in vain while speaking the English language. How many times have you heard some one say: Oh My God. This is taking the Lord’s Name in vain. You are not talking to someone about God when you say this or are you addressing God in your speech. You are using this phrase out of astonishment or amazement, because of something that has happened in your life or someone else’s. Psalms 69:36 says we are to Love His Name (The Lord God) and He has promises for those who Love Him. The name of a person represents the character of the person. When you love and honor a person’s name you are loving and showing respect to that person. Read Jeremiah 10:6 where it says The Lord God is Great and your Name is Great. The Name and The person go together, because the name reflects the character of the person.
The Lord God created us and has redeemed us at the Cross when Jesus died for our sins. We should be grateful for all that the Lord has done for us. Showing honor and respect to God’s Name should be only the beginning of our gratitude. Read Philippians 2: 9-11 There is Great power in The Name of Jesus. You will also find that Jesus earned His title and position by humbling Himself on the Cross, then The Father Highly Exalted Him with a Name above every other name. The Name of Jesus is so powerful that every tongue will confess Him as Lord and every knee Will bow to Him. Colossians 3:17 says that all we (Christians) do should be in The Name of Jesus. When we do something in The Name of a Person, we do it as if we were that person, that is to have the same character and representation of that person in every way.
We should be very concerned about the names we give our children that it reflects the kind of character we want in them. Read 2 Timothy 2:19 it says that if we Name the Name of Christ we should depart from iniquity. In other words, if we as Christians take on Christ Name as our name (that is what being a Christian is, to be like Christ) then we should display the character and representation in every way of Christ.
